Central Insurance posts 1% growth in Q1 earnings

Central Insurance Company Limited has posted a 1-percent increase in its earnings in the first quarter ended on March 31, 2022, as against the corresponding quarter last year.

Its earnings per share (EPS) stood at Tk 0.68 in the Q1, up from Tk 0.67 recorded in the same period a year earlier, said the company in a filing with the Dhaka Stock Exchange on Thursday.

As of March 31, 2022, the company’s net asset value (NAV) per share (with revaluation) stood at Tk 50.06 against Tk 49.35.

Its NAV per share (without revaluation) stood at Tk 21.55 as of March 31, 2022, against Tk 20.84 as of December 31, 2021.

The last closing price of the company’s shares was Tk 42.10.
