Nurun Nahar made BRAC Bank’s chief technology officer

Nurun Nahar Begum has been made the chief technology officer (CTO) of BRAC Bank.

The appointment already came into effect from January 1, 2022 and she will be a member of the bank’s management committee.

The homegrown CTO brings in 20 years of experience in the technology field at the bank’s Technology Division starting from 2001.

Before this new role, she was the Head of Core Banking in the Technology Division of the bank.

She has successfully performed multiple roles within the division and has contributed enormously to build a strong technology infrastructure of the bank in the last two decades.

Commenting on the appointment, Selim R. F. Hussain, managing director and CEO of the bank said, “Nurun Nahar will be a key member of our management committee as she will have to drive the digital transformation journey. Her long experience will help implement many projects ensuring fast, easy, convenient and safe banking experience for our valued customers.”
