DBC holds international webinar on sustainable energy efficiency

An international webinar on sustainable energy efficiency titled “21st Century Economy, Climate, Energy and Social Transformations: Bangladesh Perspective” was held organised by Dhaka Branch Council (DBC) of the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) on Monday.
Dr. Ahmad Kaikaus, principal secretary to the prime minister, was present as the Chief Guest, and delivered his insightful speech giving emphasis on available energy concept for achieving sustainable energy efficiency, according to a press release.
Keynote paper was presented by Bangabandhu Chair Professor Dr. Joyashree Roy, Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand with highlighting various factors which are critical for sustainable energy efficiency of Bangladesh.
Respected President of South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA) AKM Delwer Hussain FCMA, and President of ICMAB Abu Bakar Siddique FCMA were present as special guest and guest of honor who mentioned the role of CMAs to ensure cost and management efficiency of energy and power sector of Bangladesh.
Bakhtiar Alam FCMA, chairman of DBC, Mohammad Nazrul Isalm FCMA, secretary of DBC, and Mannan Bapari FCMA, treasurer of DBC were also present in the programme.
More than 200 fellows and associate members of ICMAB across the world joined the programme.
The webinar was moderated by Dr. Syed Abdulla Al Mamun FCMA, vice chairman of DBC.
