Leading non-governmental organisation BRAC has recently organised a workshop for Rohingya children development titled ‘Lesson Learn Workshop’ at a hotel in Cox’s Bazar.

The Child Protection Sector under the Humanitarian Crisis Management Programme (HCMP) of BRAC organized the event for an evaluation on the achievement of child protection and chalking out future steps, said a press release.

Hasina Akhter Huq, area director of the HCMP, Roberts Sila Muthini, programme head of HCMP, Syeda Sazia Zaman, programme head of BRAC IED, Riffat Jahan Nahreen, team lead of the Child Protection Sector under HCMP, and others spoke at the event.

The workshop stressed the early growth of children and fathers’ engagement there, calling for further strengthening the ongoing research activities in this regard.

BRAC is providing the service under a project, financed by Sesame Workshop, a USA-based international organization. Aimed at protecting children, the five-year long project will end in 2023.

Hasina Akhter Huq said the child protection sector of BRAC is working with the host and Rohingya communities despite various challenges during coronavirus.
