Universal Cardiac Hospital organises free heart camp

Universal Cardiac Hospital, formerly known as Ayesha Memorial Cardiac Hospital, has organised a free heart camp on the occasion of world heart day on September 29.

The free heart camp at the hospital premises will remain open from 9 am to 9 pm, said a press release.

Chief Cardiac Surgeon of the hospital Prof Dr Nasir Uddin Ahmed, Chief Cardiologist Prof Dr Khandaker Kamrul Islam, Senior Clinical and Interventional Cardiologist Dr S M Mamunur Rahman, Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgeon Dr Mahbub Ahsan, Clinical and Interventional Cardiologist Dr Sania Haque, Medicine Specialist and Clinical and Interventional Cardiologist Dr MA Hasnat, Assistant Professor (cardiac surgery) Dr Romena Rahman, Specialist Cardiologist and Assistant Professor of Cardiology Dr Sharadindu Shekhar Roy, and Specialist Cardiologist Dr Taslima Afroz, will give free specialised medical advice to the patients.

Cardiac patients arriving at the camp are requested to bring a CD (if any) of the angiogram, the release reads.

Patients coming to the camp will be given a 35% discount on all tests and Tk 15,000 on bypass and Tk 5,000 on stenting (ring). Interested people are also asked to call these numbers- 09606111 222, 01841480000 to take the serial in the free heart camp.
