ISCB holds its 11th AGM

Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh (ICSB) held its 11th annual general meeting (AGM) on Saturday virtually.
Muzaffar Ahmed, president of the institute, presided over the meeting and tabled the council report of the institute, and Salim Ahmed, treasurer of the institute, placed the audited financial statements of the institute for the year ended December 31, 2020, said a press release.
The members approved the council report and financial statements of the institute.
Muzaffar in his speech highlighted the major activities and achievements of the Institute.
Among them, he mentioned about successful holding of 7th corporate governance award programme, workshops, webinars, discussion sessions, and continuing professional development (CPD) programmes, etc, the release added.
In addition to that, the institute finalised and published two new secretarial standards for the corporate secretaries.
The president also informed that the institute is taking more initiatives to develop the members to face the changing requirements of the corporate world.
