ActionAid Bangladesh (AAB) and Mutual Trust Bank (MTB) signed a letter of intent under which the bank will provide financial assistance to 86 female students residing in 'Happy Home', a centre established by the ActionAid in the capital's Mohammadpur, for their education.

MTB will finance them under its corporate social responsibility (CSR) Programme, said a press release.

This signing ceremony took place on Thursday at the AAB Country Office in Dhaka.

Farah Kabir, country director of ActionAid Bangladesh; Maruf Shehab, its head of fundraising; Azam Khan, and senior officials from both organisations were present at the event, the release added.

The ActionAid's Happy Home initiative in collaboration with different government agencies has been working for ensuring shelter and education for the street children in Mohammadpur area since 2016.
