IBBL recognised as highest taxpayer

The National Board of Revenue (NBR) has recognised Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited (IBBL) as one of the highest taxpayers in the banking sector for fiscal year 2020-21.
Mohammed Monirul Moula, managing director and CEO of the bank, received the letter of recognition from Fazle Kabir, governor of the Bangladesh Bank, at a program in a capital hotel on Tuesday, said a press release.
Abu Hena Md Rahmatul Muneem, chairman of the NBR, J Q M Habibullah, deputy managing director of the bank, Md Alamgir Hossain and Mohammad Golam Nabi, revenue board members, Md Iqbal Hossain, commissioner of the Large Taxpayers Unit, among others, were present at the event.
