SPL receives BAB accreditation for its lab

Summit Power (SPL) has received an accreditation certificate from the Bangladesh Accreditation Board (BAB) for its laboratory named Summit Testing and Calibration Laboratory (STCL).
Summit is the first power producer company to receive such an accreditation, said a press release.
The lab, located in Narayanganj, was developed to test and calibrate power plant’s instruments as per international standards. It can also calibrate gauge and sensors of both temperature and pressure, IR and glass thermometers, AC/DC of voltage and electric current, the release added.
“The government of Bangladesh encourages institutional capacity building of industries. We are pleased with the Summit’s Testing and Calibration Labratory as it met the requirements to claim the Bangladesh Accreditation Board’s certification,” said Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun.
