United Hospital observes World Health Day

Like every year, United Hospital observed World Health Day on Wednesday with the slogan ‘Live Healthy to Stay Healthy’.

World Health Day is celebrated around the world on April 7. This year, the theme of the day is ‘Building a Fairer, Healthier World’ by World Health Organization (WHO).

Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of United Hospital Mohammad Faizur Rahman spoke on the Health Day occasion. 

He focused on the importance of maintaining a healthy life through early health screening and preventive measures, reads a press release. 

He also said that Covid-19 has brought some changed in people's lives that include the change in eating habits and hygiene. People now realise that good health is real wealth. “So we have to live a healthy life,” he said.  

Director of Communication and Business Development of United Hospital Shagufa Anwar also spoke on the occasion. At the event, Consultant, Physician and Specialist doctors from different departments focused on the possible ways to stay away from various diseases through healthy living, regular exercise, proper diet and adequate sleep. 

Directors, doctors, nurses and senior officials of various departments of the hospital were present on the occasion. 

On World Health Day, United Hospital is conducting a week-long social awareness campaign that includes online awareness seminars at various clubs and corporate houses, Facebook live webinar and the presence of United Hospital specialist doctors at various television discussions.
