Bangladeshi electronics brand Walton is witnessing a remarkable surge in demand for its 'Made in Bangladesh' labeled televisions in the European market, with exports now reaching over 14 European countries.
Continuing on this trajectory, Walton has announced its seventh successful TV export to the Irish market, a country located in the northwest of Europe, reports a press release.
Walton's Global Business Unit Vice President Saeed Al Imran who is responsible for overseeing operations in the European market, said that Walton initiated TV export operations in Ireland in 2019 utilizing the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) method.
Walton's adherence to European standards and design, along with its high picture quality, advanced features, durability, and well-timed marketing strategy, quickly captivated the attention of the Irish population. Notably, this has led to a steady increase in demand for Walton TVs in the Irish market gradually.
Consequently, he stated that this month, Walton has fulfilled its seventh shipment of TV exports to Ireland through a repeat order.
Chief Business Officer of Walton TV Engineer Mostafa Nahid Hossain said, "We began TV exports to the European market in 2019, and Walton TV swiftly garnered the admiration of buyers within this short timeframe. Currently, approximately 95 percent of Walton TV's export revenue originates from the European market."
Despite the adverse global trade condition following the effects of Corona epidemic, and instability in the European market centering on the Russia-Ukraine war, Walton has exported more than 100,000 units of TVs to the European market, he noted adding that about $10 million came to the reserve of Bangladesh.
He said, "Walton has now emerged as the leading TV exporter in Bangladesh. Our objective is to enhance Bangladesh's global image by exporting 'Made in Bangladesh' tagged televisions to every corner of the world. To accomplish this goal, we are consistently progressing towards our mission of securing a position among the top five television manufacturers globally."
According to the Walton Global Business Unit, Walton is currently exporting 'Made in Bangladesh' tagged TVs to over 35 countries worldwide through a network of hundreds of business partners.
Out of the total export earnings of Walton TVs, 34 percent originated from Denmark, 18 percent from Germany, 22 percent from Greece, 15 percent from Croatia and Ireland collectively, six percent from Poland, and the remaining five percent from Africa and other countries combined.
