Mercantile Bank declares 17.5% dividends

Mercantile Bank Limited has recommended 12.5 percent cash and 5 percent stock dividends for its shareholders for the year ended on December 31, 2021.

The dividend payout was recommended at a meeting of the company’s board of directors.

However, final approval regarding the dividends will come during the annual general meeting (AGM) scheduled for April 28, 2022, said the company in a filing with the Dhaka Stock Exchange on Wednesday.

The company reported EPS of Tk 3.46 and consolidated NAV per share of Tk 23.91 during the period.

The record date for the distribution of the declared dividend among the shareholders has been fixed for April 6, 2022.

There was no price limit on the trading of the shares of the company on Wednesday following its corporate declaration.
