Game and apps development centres proposed for 8 divisional towns

The government has taken initiatives to set up game and apps development centres in 8 divisional headquarters in the country, to make skilled IT professionals for the ever-changing digital age.

Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal came up with the disclosure while presenting the proposed budget for the FY22 before the parliament on Thursday.

The centres will be set up in eight leading educational institutions in the divisional headquarters.

The Ministry of Information and Technology will implement the project and oversee the centres.

The government earlier set up 32 game and apps testing labs set up in 30 educational institutions at the district level.
