NRBC Bank earnings double in Q2

NRBC Bank has said widening banking services helped double its earnings in the second quarter of the current year.

Its consolidated earnings per share stood at Tk 1.11 during April- June 2021, which was Tk 0.49 in the same period a year ago, said the bank in a statement on Tuesday.

“The bank has gone for expansion of its network and banking services during the pandemic. Emphasis was given on disbursement of SME loans, Islamic banking and along with the conventional banking,” it said.

The total loan disbursement has increased 34 percent to Tk 8,605 crore, which was Tk 6,435 crore during the period and the total deposit stood at Tk 10, 577 crore, a jump of 25 percent, during the period.
