Prime Bank introduces eKYC platform ‘Primeplus’

Prime Bank has introduced an Electronic Know Your Customer (eKYC) platform “Primeplus” on Wednesday, which allows customers to open an account without visiting any banking premises.

This service will help pave the way to bring millions of unbanked people under the banking and financial system, reads a press release.

To open an account through Primeplus, the customers need to visit the Prime Bank website and follow a few steps.

The account opening process is very easy and quick. A customer needs to have NID in order to open an account, the release said.

“We believe this solution will facilitate financial inclusion of millions of unbanked people of the country,” said Hassan O Rashid, managing director and CEO of the bank, during the occasion of launching.

Primeplus works on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) based identity verification with auto de-duplication checking and sanction screening.

The customers will get account numbers instantly and enjoy internet banking access.

Customer also can place debit card and chequebook requests digitally.
