Bank Asia disbursed Tk 5 crore loans to 89 cottage, micro, small and medium enterprises (CMSME), as a partner of the SME Foundation's 'Credit Wholesaling Programme' under the second stimulus package announced by the government.
Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun, industries minister, as the chief guest, handed over the cheques at a programme at the ministry office in the capital on May 27, said a press release.
The programme was moderated by Md Mofizur Rahman, managing director of the SME Foundation.
Entrepreneurs were benefitted from the loan facility at 4 percent interest, which they need to repay with 24 installments, the release reads.
Kamal Ahmed Majumder, state minister, Zakia Sultana, secretary of the ministry, and Md Arfan Ali, president and managing director of Bank Asia, were present at the event, among others.
