Cabinet Division has asked Bangladesh Bank to ensure that emergency banking services are on during the lockdown starting from Wednesday.
The Cabinet Division came up with the decision just a day after it issued a notification clarifying which services will be off and which are on in the lockdown.
Tee government has imposed a weeklong lockdown from April 14 to contain the rising coronavirus cases and deaths for the last two weeks. Hospitals are also struggling to deal with the surge in Covid-19 patients.
