Krishi, Palli Sanchay Banks get new MDs

The government has appointed new managing directors (MDs) to the state-owned Bangladesh Krishi Bank and Palli Sanchay Bank.

Abdul Jabbar has been appointed as the managing director of the Bangladesh Krishi Bank while Sheikh Md Jaminur Rahman of Palli Sanchay Bank.

The Financial Institutions Division of the Ministry of Finance issued a notification on Thursday about their appointment.

Jabbar will take charge of the new office on November 26 and Rahman on December 1, according to the notification.

Jabbar and Rahman were deputy managing directors of Janata Bank before their promotions to the new posts.

These two promoted officers will hold their offices until further order.
