Zainul Bari made new IDRA chairman

The government has appointed Mohammad Zainul Bari as the new chairman of the Insurance Development and Regulatory Authority (IDRA) for the next three years.

finance ministry published a gazette notification in this regard on Wednesday, saying that the appointment will come into effect from the date of his joining.

Prior to the appointment, he was serving as secretary to the planning ministry.

The government came up with the move as Mosharraf Hossain, stood aside from his chairman post of the IDRA by submitting a resignation latter on Tuesday for his alleged financial irregularities worth Tk 40.81 crore.
