City Bank’s earnings rise by 3%

City Bank has posted a 2.76-percent increase in its earnings in the third quarter ended in September 2021 as against the same quarter of the previous year.

Its earnings per share (EPS) stood at Tk 2.97 in Q3, an increase of 2.76 percent from Tk 2.89 recorded in the same period a year earlier, said the bank in a press statement on Tuesday.

The bank also reported Tk 316.5 crore consolidated profit after tax (PAT) during the period January to September 2021, which was Tk 308.6 crore during the same period of last year.

The press release said that the bank attracted much attention from investment communities across the globe in recent years through its noticeable presence and growth in the private commercial banking industry in Bangladesh.
