Mobile financial service provider Nagad has started reactivating the accounts which it recently suspended for unusual transactions with some e-commerce platforms.
In the first phase, it activated more than 700 accounts after extensive analysis and consultation with the authorities concerned, Nagad said in a press statement on Monday.
“Nagad informed the matter to the authorities concerned about the inconsistent transactions of the accounts, as per the Bangladesh Bank regulations. Subsequently, through an extensive analysis and scrutiny, the accounts with satisfactory results are now being reactivated,” the statement said.
In the ongoing examination, Nagad is taking steps to reactivate the rest of the blocked accounts within the shortest possible time, it added.
The customers are already enjoying the regular functionality with the reactivated accounts as well as all the exciting Nagad offers, the company said.
