Expatriate’s welfare ministry forms quick response team for migrant workers

The Ministry of Expatriate's Welfare and Overseas Employment has recently formed a quick response team as part of its effort to address the ongoing sufferings of the Bangladeshi expatriate workers abroad.
The team will assist the returnee migrants, aspirants who want to go abroad in fixing different problems, including visa-related issues.
The Wage Earners' Welfare Board under the ministry issued an official order in this regard on Saturday.
The order signed by the board's Director-General Md Hamidur Rahman mentioned that Board
Director Arif Ahmed would lead the 7-member committee.
"The dedicated team will look into different problems the workers face, not only during the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic but also in the next," the order reads.
