NBR chairman’s tenure extended by two more years

The contractual appointment of Abu Hena Md Rahmatul Muneem as chairman of the National Board of Revenue (NBR) and senior secretary to the Internal Resources Division (IRD) has been extended for two more years.

His new contract will come into effect on January 6, 2024, or the date of his joining, said an official order issued by the Public Administration Ministry on Wednesday.

Muneem joined as senior secretary of IRD under the Finance Ministry and as the NBR Chairman on January 6, 2020.
