12th parliamentary election to be held in first week of January 2024: EC Anisur

The 12th parliamentary election will be held in the first week of January next year, Election Commissioner Anisur Rahman said on Saturday.

Anirus announced the tentative date for the upcoming national election after inaugurating an election training session held at the Election Training Institute in Agargaon area of Dhaka this afternoon.

The official proceedings of the 12th parliamentary election began today through the training session, Anisur said.

The trainers will first take training from us then they will train up people who will be involved in the election-related activities, he added.
