It will be possible to end load shedding across the country from October this year, said State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid.

Hamid revealed the information to reporters on Sunday after a meeting with the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industries (FBCCI) leaders on Sunday.

He said, “The amount of load shedding will be halved from the next month. Also, the government will increase power generation. So, Load shedding will not be a problem, then”.

The situation is temporary, and the power division believes it would be possible to reduce load shedding from the next month, he added.

“We will raise the production. Also, we will try to make a balance by raising gas production. From October, we can have uninterrupted power,” said the state minister.

Moreover, factories will be have an area-based closure in every week to save power. The business leaders and the power division reached into an agreement over this issue at the meeting.

The state minister said the decision has been taken to close area-based factories to cut load shedding and save electricity.
