4 ‘killers’ of doctor Bulbul arrested

The members of detective branch of Dhaka Metropolitan Police have arrested four suspected killers of dentist Ahmed Mahi Bulbul on Tuesday night.

At a press conference on Wednesday, AKM Hafiz Akhtar, additional police commissioner (DB) said, “All of the arrested are snatchers; and during the primary interrogation, they admitted their involvement in the killing.”

He said, “They stopped the rickshaw carrying the dentist and tried to rob him. However, they stabbed him and left the scene as he was bleeding profoundly.

Later, the DB conducted raids in different parts of the capital and Savar, and arrested the accused, added the police official.

Earlier on Sunday morning, miscreants stabbed Bulbul at Shewrapara in the capital on his way to Noakhali. He was rushed to Suhrawardi Hospital where the on-duty doctors pronounced him dead.
