Health and Family Welfare Minister Professor Dr Samanta Lal Sen on Saturday laid emphasis on improving healthcare services for common people.
“My aim is to improve healthcare services for reducing sufferings of common people,” he told journalists after a view-exchange meeting with the vice chancellor of Chottogram Medical University and principals of different medical colleges in Chattogram, an official release said, reports BSS.
In reply to a question from a journalist, the health minister said a 30-bed ICU was inaugurated today at Chattogram Medical College, meaning the total number of ICU beds is 50 now at the hospital.
“We are working to remove the shortage of ICU and I hope the ICU shortage will be removed in future,” he added.
