Industries Secretary for ensuring CETP in BSCIC Leather Industrial City

Senior Secretary of the Industries Ministry Zakia Sultana on Tuesday instructed authorities concerned to ensure smooth operation of the Central Effluent Treatment Plant (CETP) and compliance in tanneries of BSCIC Leather Industrial City located at Hemayetpur in Savar.

"Along with CETP, to ensure the compliance of the tanneries, the inspection team was formed and the tannery owners were regularly inspected and given necessary advice and assistance," she said.

The secretary said this while visiting the BSCIC Leather Industrial City, said a press release.

Zakia laid emphasis on raising the collection of effluent bill and water bill to 100 percent ensure the smooth operation of CETP, reports BSS.
