4 held for killing youth in Pallabi

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) have arrested four youths on charge of murdering a fish trader in Pallabi area of the capital.

Based on tip-off, a RAB 4 team conducted raids at Pallabi, parts of Narayanganj and Brahmanbaria districts on Saturday and Sunday and arrested the four.

The arrestees are – Ifran, alias Damru, 24, Dollar Hossain, alias Dollar, 25, Raja Hossain, 22 and Korban, 25.

As per the case statement, miscreants killed Jahid Hasan on Tuesday night over senior-junior conflict.

He was a bus driver, but later changed his profession to a fish trader because of the coronavirus pandemic.

After the incident, Hanif Khan, father of the victim, lodged a complaint with Pallabi police station

said a conflict broke out among the members of senior and junior groups and they locked into clashes. Victim Jahid was seriously injured during the clash and was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where duty doctors announced him dead.
